Important Dates!

Golden Week. Normally end of April beginning May.
As a rule each auction will have one day off, thus making a full weeks holiday.

O-Bon.  Around middle of August, again about one week, will give you dates nearer the time. 
O-Bon is actually the time when the spirit of the dead relatives are suppose to return home!
The family (living that is!) will return to their parents for a big party to welcome them in, or not I suppose depending how you got on! Anyway most of the men end up drinking too much Asahi (beer, or beer-loo in Japanese!) and falling over drunk! much the same as the rest of the world really!
